Terms of service

Last updated October 2, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Chorus about using Chorus. By using Chorus, you agree to them. How Chorus handles your information is in the privacy policy.

The short version

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Chorus isn't an exchange: there's no trading, and votes have no money value.
  • Chorus doesn't promise that any proposal will be listed anywhere.
  • Nothing here is financial advice.
  • You own what you post. Follow the rules below, or Chorus can remove it or ban you.

Who can use Chorus

You must be 18 or older. You need an account to propose markets or vote. Sign in with an email you can receive mail at, or with Google, and keep access to it, since that's how you sign in. You're responsible for what happens through your account.

What Chorus is, and isn't

Chorus is a place to propose prediction markets, vote for the ones you want, and talk about them. It's a waitlist for markets that don't exist yet.

  • Chorus is not an exchange, a broker, or a betting site. You can't trade, deposit money, or win anything here.
  • Votes show interest. They have no monetary value, can't be bought, sold, or transferred, and don't earn anything.
  • Chorus plans to work with licensed, regulated exchanges to list proposals with strong demand; it doesn't have such a partner yet. Any exchange would decide what it lists and who can trade, under its own rules. Chorus doesn't promise that any proposal will be listed, or when.
  • Nothing on Chorus is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Proposals, comments, and vote counts are people's opinions, not predictions Chorus stands behind.

What you post

  • You keep ownership of your proposals and comments.
  • You give Chorus a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, show, copy, and adapt what you post, to run and promote Chorus. That includes editing a proposal's wording before it goes live (screening and Chorus's admins sometimes suggest or make changes), and sharing a proposal's market (its question, dates, resolution, and outcomes, never your email) with a licensed exchange that might list it, if Chorus has one.
  • Post only what's yours to post, and nothing illegal.

The rules

A proposal can't be about:

  • War, armed conflict, or military action (including ceasefires), terrorism, or attacks on people
  • The death, injury, or health of specific people
  • Private individuals, or minors, including children of public figures
  • Harassing, humiliating, or targeting anyone
  • Sexual content, or self-harm
  • Casino-style games of chance, or anything illegal
  • An outcome that you, your friends, family, coworkers, or business control, or one that a small group fully controls

A market needs a clear question, a specific date, and a public source that will settle it. A person reviews sports and election markets before they go live. A proposal that duplicates one already on Chorus is blocked; upvote the existing one instead.

Comments can't contain hate, sexual content, threats of violence, a private person's contact details or location (doxxing), or spam and scams. Disagreement and trash talk are fine. Usernames can't carry hate or sexual content.

Anywhere on Chorus: don't pretend to be someone else, don't use bots or scripts to vote, post, or sign up, and don't try to get around a limit, a ban, or the bot check.

How Chorus moderates

Chorus checks proposals, comments, and usernames, automatically and by hand. Chorus can refuse, edit, hide, or remove anything, and suspend or ban accounts, at its discretion, including for things these rules don't list. 3 reports from different people hide a comment until Chorus reviews it. A banned account can still browse, but can't propose, vote, comment, like, or report.

Emails

Making an account adds you to the Chorus waitlist. When you join, Chorus sends you one welcome email, emails you about your proposals, and sends sign-in links and codes when you ask for them. Every email except a sign-in email has an unsubscribe link.

The service

Chorus is provided as is. Chorus may change it, pause it, or end the waitlist at any time, and doesn't promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that anything on it is accurate.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Chorus isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or lost profits, from your use of Chorus, and Chorus's total liability for any claim is limited to $100.

Ending

You can stop using Chorus at any time, and ask Chorus to delete your account. Chorus can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or to protect Chorus and the people who use it.

Changes

Chorus may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date, and for a significant change, Chorus will also email the people on the waitlist. Using Chorus after a change means you accept it.

Law

The laws of California govern these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in California.

Contact

Chorus is operated by Tyler DeGuzman, an individual based in California.
